TERMS & CONDITIONS
Prior to making a booking with Villa Dewi Laksmi, the Guest must read, understand and agree to the terms and conditions set out in this document. Each time a guest makes a booking it is deemed that they agree to the terms and conditions set out in this document. Breach of any of these terms may result in the cancellation of the Guest’s booking without refund. The term ‘Guest’ used throughout this document includes the Guest making the booking and their party.
BOOKING AND PAYMENT
All rates are quoted in Australian Dollars, and we accept payment in only AU Dollar. Payment can be made through either PayPal or Direct Deposit only, no Cash. To confirm a booking, a non-refundable deposit equal to 25% of the value of the stay (as per the booking invoice issued at time of booking request) must be made to the Owner. Once received, the Owner agrees to reserve the villa for use by the Guest during the dates specified in the booking. Full settlement of the remainder of the Guest’s account is required 2 weeks prior to check in at Villa Dewi Laksmi.
MAXIMUM GUEST CAPACITY
For legal and safety reasons, the number of guests staying at the villa cannot exceed the number of sleeping places at the villa, which is a maximum of six people (maximum of two persons per bedroom unless approval is gained prior to arrival). The exception to this is that the villa has one baby cot which is available to use at no extra cost. No pets are permitted at the villa.
BOOKING CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Booking cancellations are any amendments made by the Guest to the original booking which causes one or more days of the original booking to be cancelled. In the event of a cancellation, the guest will be refunded any amounts paid to the Owner over and above the initial 25% non-refundable deposit made by the Guest to secure the booking. In the event that no payment has been received over and above the initial 25% non-refundable deposit, no amounts will be refunded. Bookings cannot be cancelled or amended after the Guest has checked in.
INFORMATION AND ARRIVAL
Information such as the villa address, contact details of the owner, transfer arrangements and other information can be found in the booking invoice sent to the Guest at the time of enquiry and on our website. Upon arrival at Denpasar airport, your driver will be present holding a sign with your family or booking name.
Acknowledging group bookings may result in various arrival times, bookings are inclusive of one of the following (at the Guest’s preference):
- 1 return transfer with 2 vehicles OR 2 return transfers with 1 vehicle.
At the time of check-in, local laws require our guests to complete a check-in form which includes a photocopy of the Guest’s passport/s. Guests are also required to sign a credit card authorisation at check in to cover the cost of any damage or loss incurred by them during their stay.
The Guest is permitted to make use of the villa, its services and facilities for normal holidaying activity. Any intended use of the villa, its services or facilities beyond that of normal holidaying activity (eg weddings, parties and other events) must be approved by the owner in writing at the time of booking. Note that these events are subject to local laws and regulations and as such are required to be evaluated on a case by case basis by the Owner. Any unapproved use (attempted or actual) of the villa for purposes other than normal holidaying activity may result in the cancellation of the booking and eviction of the Guest without refund.
Guests are permitted to make reasonable requests from our staff during their stay. This includes requesting our staff to purchase small goods and consumables such as food, beverages, medicine, etc on the Guest’s behalf. Payment for these goods can be made directly to our staff upon request.
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES AND RENTAL RATES
Check-in time is 2pm and check-out time is 12pm. If variations to these times are desired, the Guest must seek the Owner’s prior approval in writing. Late check-outs (until 6pm) can be arranged, subject to the availability of the villa. Late checkouts are charged at 50% of the applicable nightly rate.
Rental rates vary according to seasons and are subject to change without notice; customers are advised to check the applicable rates on our website before making a booking.
SECURITY AND VALUABLES
Any Guest valuables or property taken to and stored at the villa are stored there at the Guest’s own risk. The Owner takes no responsibility for damage to or loss of the Guest’s valuables during their stay.
The Guest is responsible for the security of their valuables and property during their stay. This includes taking normal precautions such as locking doors and windows.
Guests may make use of the personal safes located in the villa.
Our villas are made available for guests to enjoy for normal holiday activities and purposes. Guests should respect and be mindful that our villa is located in a quiet residential area and ensure they behave appropriately at all times. Inappropriate, antisocial or dangerous behaviour may result in the eviction of the Guest without refund.
Illegal activities are prohibited and may result in the Guest being evicted from the villa immediately and without refund. Such activities include but are not limited to gambling, prostitution and the possession or use of illegal drugs, firearms or other weapons. The Guest is strongly encouraged to familiarise themselves with local laws and regulations prior to their stay.
DAMAGE CAUSED BY GUESTS
The Guest must treat the villa for the duration of their stay in good order with the villa being left in an acceptably clean condition at the conclusion of their stay.
Any cleaning requirements beyond that of a reasonable nature caused by the Guest will be charged to the Guest’s credit card. Any damage caused by the Guest will be repaired with costs charged to the Guest’s credit card.
In the event of extreme damage caused by the Guest or the Guest behaving in a dangerous, reckless, antisocial or otherwise unacceptable manner, the Owner reserves the right to cancel the booking and evict the Guest without refund.
Guests are required to sign a credit card authorisation form at check in, equal to the amount of one nights stay to cover the cost of any damage or loss incurred by them during their stay.
The Owner does not and will not in any circumstance accept responsibility or liability for:
• Sickness, injury, death, loss or damage (to property or
otherwise), or any additional expenses or inconvenience incurred by the Guest and/or their Party. Guests are strongly advised to take out an appropriate travel insurance policy for their stay.
• The inability of the Guest and/or their Party to arrive at the villa due to failure to obtain necessary travel or visa documentation
• The inability of the Guest and/or their Party to arrive at the villa due to changes, cancellations or amendments to flight and travel arrangements
• Any amendment, cancellation or delay to a booking as a result of events beyond the Owner’s control, including but not limited to civil war, terrorist activity, natural disasters, extreme weather events and other ‘Acts of God’.
